THE TOP 4 IN EACH EVENT AFTER STATE FINALS QUALIFY TO GO TO NATIONALS

If one of the top 4 choose not to go to nationals, the next person in that event can be bumped up (up to the 8th place at state finals) If a team roping partner does not go, another team roper may go in their place as long as they roped at state finals.

PACKETS WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH QUALIFIER AT THE MEETING ON SUNDAY, AFTER THE STATE FINALS WITH ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT NATIONAL FINALS.

BRING YOUR PARENTS AND CHECKBOOK AS YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE DEPOSIT FOR YOUR HOUSING AND ALSO FOR YOUR HORSE STALLS. BOTH PARENTS HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO SIGN FORMS.

MOTEL ARRANGENTS ARE MADE BY THE STATE SECRETARY. FORMS TO BE FILLED OUT ON SUNDAY.


NHSFR/NRA Rifle Shooting Competition: There will be a small-bore rifle shooting competition during the NHSFR this year. A total of $5,000 in college scholarships will be awarded through this competition by the NRA. You will have the necessary information and team entry form in your state and provincial finals packets, which will be sent from the national office shortly. In a nutshell, your state or province will select one - two person team to compete in this competition at the NHSFR.

The team members will not need to bring their own rifles. .22 Caliber Lever Action Henry rifles will be provided along with eye and ear protection. The contestants will need to bring their own spotting scopes or binoculars to see their target placement.

NHSFR 3-On-3 9' basketball Tournament: Again this year, the NHSRA and Wrangler will be hosting a 3-On-3 basketball tournament at the NHSFR. The entry forms are in each of the NHSFR contestant packets you will receive at the National meeting on Sunday. Your state or province can select one team (up to five team members). We are expanding the tournament to 20 boy's teams and 20 girl's teams.

Knowledge Bowl Competition: The NHSRA and Farriers Formula will be hosting a Knowledge Bowl Competition this year at the NHSFR. Nearly $6,000 in scholarships will be awarded through this competition at the NHSFR. Your state or province will need to select a three-person team for this competition and the state secretary will submit their names to the NHSRA national office with the state or provincial finals report.
