Who We Are...
The Virginia High School Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization introducing families to the sport of rodeo and giving our student athletes a chance to compete in the western sport they love that preserves the heritage of our nations western roots. It is our mission to enrich the lives of our Virginia athletes and encourage the highest level of conduct and sportsmanship, exposing rodeo's positive image to the general public. We want to preserve our western heritage, offer the privilege of a sport that allows family bonding, the opportunity for college scholarships, and to maintain a respect for the animals and livestock being used in our sport.

The Virginia High School Rodeo Association (VHSRA) is a volunteer-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the western way of life while developing the next generation of rodeo athletes. Our contestants don’t just compete — they care for animals daily, travel across the state and nation, and embrace a lifestyle that requires discipline, responsibility, and resilience.
Families and volunteers work tirelessly to support this passion, but continued opportunities rely on the generosity of sponsors and donors. Your contribution directly supports scholarships, rodeo events, and the resources needed to keep this sport alive and accessible for youth across Virginia.
