Hi, I’m Korie Thompson, your Miss Virginia High School Rodeo 2026 - 2027 Queen!
 
I have been a part of the VHSRA for about five years now, and it has become such an important part of my life. Through high school rodeo, I have been blessed with so many opportunities, memories, and experiences that I will always cherish.
 
I am so excited and honored to represent VHSRA this year, and I cannot wait to see what this year has in store. I look forward to meeting new people, making memories, and representing the association to the best of my ability.

Lottie Mae Hazlegrove
VICE PRESIDENT

Hi I am LottieMae Hazlegrove and I am honored to be serving as your 2026-2027 vice president! This is my second year competing in high school rodeo and I compete in team roping, breakaway roping, pole bending, barrel racing, and goat tying. Rodeo has always been a passion I have had and I am working to become a first generation cowgirl. I am planning to attend college this fall and hope to pursue my dreams of rodeo after high school while pursuing my goal of majoring in animal science. Rodeo has always been something I have dreamed of being a part of and admired and I am excited to start my rodeo path surrounded by an amazing rodeo community. I look forward to what this season has in store.

Hi! I’m Ava Hutchison, and I’m excited to serve as the 2026-2027 VHSRA Student Reporter! Rodeo is a huge part of my life, and I love being involved both inside and outside the arena. I compete in several events, including goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping as well as light rifle and trap shooting. Some of my favorite things about rodeo are the friendships, memories, and being part of the amazing rodeo family we have here in Virginia.
 
As Student Reporter, I’m looking forward to capturing all the special moments throughout our season, recognizing our contestants, and sharing everything that makes VHSRA so special. I can’t wait to see what the 2026-2027 season has in store for Team Virginia.

Hi! I’m Emily Harris, and I'm honored to serve as the 2026-2027 VHSRA Student President. I've been involved in rodeo for 10 years and compete in goat tying, breakaway, light rifle, and trap. With goat tying being my favorite.
 
Rodeo has taught me the importance of hard work, sportsmanship, perseverance, and supporting others. As Student President, I hope to bring our members closer together, represent our association well, and help create memories that will last a lifetime.​

JUNIOR HIGH AMBASSADOR

Hi, I’m Elly Warren and I am beyond excited to be your 2026 - 2027 VHSRA Junior High Ambassador.
 
Ever since I was little I have dreamed of being in office for high school rodeo even if it just meant being a little miss or being a student ambassador. I have finally succeeded in my goal and I am so excited and ready for being your 26-27 Junior High Ambassador. I am a determined, hardworking, and dedicated young girl with a passion for rodeo that shows for itself. I have been in the VHSRA for 8 years now, the majority of my life. I am strong and can handle anything you put me to. Thank you for letting me be your 2026-2027 Junior High Ambassador! I am so excited to see what we can accomplish.

Reid Kight
JUNIOR HIGH AMBASSADOR

My name is Reid Kight, and I am honored to serve as your 2026-2027 Junior High Ambassador.
 
I have been a proud member of the VHSRA since 2020 and have competed in team roping (header), goat tying, light rifle shooting, chute dogging, breakaway roping, and ribbon roping. I love the sport of rodeo, but what I love most is the rodeo family.
 
This year, I was a first-time qualifier to the National Junior High Finals Rodeo, where I was incredibly proud to place 12th in the world. Reaching that goal showed me that with hard work, practice, and determination, absolutely everything is possible. I want to encourage all of my fellow competitors to keep chasing their goals too.
 
Rodeo has taught me the importance of being a good sport, helping others, and always cheering people on. As your Junior High Ambassador, I want to help younger members feel welcome, encourage everyone to stay positive, and help make our rodeo season full of fun and great memories.
 
I want to be someone younger kids can look up to and a friend they can count on. I am ready to work hard, represent our association, and make a difference.
